Ask Maddie
Dear Maddie,
I am new at the school and don't have a friend. How can I make friends?
Lonely
Dear Lonely,
So, you’re having trouble finding friends. Well, I have some advice for you. Don’t just sit around and hope someone nice finds you, get out there! Find someone and talk to them. Who knows, maybe you’ll find out that that person likes everything you do. Invite him/her over to your house; get your mother’s permission first, of course.
Here’s why you should do all these things. It’s what I like to call Friendship Process 1. Process 2 is another thing for another time. Anyways, the reason I call it the Friendship Process is because it’s a way you make friends. You can’t immediately make friends, it takes time!
Now, back to the Friendship Process. After inviting the person, play with him/her. Do this a lot and soon you will have a new friend! But don’t invite him/her every day, just now and then. You may just have made a new best friend! Have fun,
Maddy
p.s. Have fun but don’t play anything dangerous.
