A Preview of Troy Intermediate School
Meet Ms. Cogan
|
Reporter Williams and Reporter Smith interviewed the principal of Troy Intermediate School, Ms. Cogan. It sounds like Troy is very different. When asked what 4th graders should look forward to, Ms.Cogan said “Troy is pretty cool. It’s only 5th and 6th graders so you feel so much more mature than 1st and 2nd graders.” It also is really fun sounding. She said that you will have 2 different teachers; there is a technology class and an awesome art teacher so it will be really fun. So fourth graders… we hope you enjoy Troy!

Getting to Know Mr. Giomini
|
Reporters Summerfield and Carr interviewed Mr. Giomini; he is a 6th grade teacher at Troy Intermediate. The subjects he teaches are Math and Pre-Algebra. He likes to teach math and pre-algebra to students in a fun way. Mr. Giomini recently won a Crystal Apple Award for teaching, but refers himself as not winning an award, but being recognized for his actions. This is what he said, “I didn’t exactly win an award I was recognized for it. I don’t look at awards as something I need to have or want to have; it’s the teaching that counts.” Mr. Giomini has been happily teaching for 13 years. He is a joy in the classroom and the students enjoy him.
